Bill is passionate about soccer and he has been a student of the game for most of his life. He worked in Colorado teaching USSF License Coaching courses for over 30 years. He received his USSF “A” license in 1998 and holds a USSF National Youthand “B” License. He also has received his Grassroots Instructor License in 2019. Player and coaching development combined with enjoyment and respect for the game are at the foundation of his soccer philosophy. He won Championships as a player for the Colorado Comets (1989 and 1990) and as a coach for Liberty High School in the State Championships (1991). He was Denver Post Coach of the Year in 1992.
Bill has been a Director of Coaching and Technical Director for youth soccer clubs in Colorado Springs, CO, Denver, CO, and Venice, FL, from 1994 to 2020. He has coached at several college soccer programs; University of Colorado in Colorado Springs and Colorado College. He has owned and coached a USL team in Colorado. Bill coached several players who have played in the MLS and other professional leagues. He resides inFlorida with his wife, Lee Ann. Their two children have graduated college and both grew up playing club soccer.

The role of our Technical Director is to manage and oversee all player and coaching development within the club. Bill’s responsibilities include technical leadership which includes evaluate current Academy programs and Coach and Player Development initiatives, work within the community to help build the NGSA brand and awareness of our various programs, establish an ongoing education program for parents rooted in the Club philosophy and provide direction and leadership for all staff coaches and team coaches.
In addition he is to oversee Technical Program Development, including to ensure that the established Club style of play is implemented into NextGen Minis, Youth and competitive programming, and coaches are mentored on supporting and promoting a possession style of play.
